Standing Tall

Happy new year to all Suzuki enthusiasts, and welcome to another year of fun and frustration for everyone trying to build or rebuild their dream ride!

Speaking of dreams, I have just met a bloke by the name of Mark who is living his dream at the moment. Mark is from Wagga and has been in Canberra for Summernats over the past few days, where he had entered his Suzuki Mighty Boy. His ute attracted so much positive attention that he was chosen to present it in the elite Top 60! Talk about being stoked! Mark is still grinning about the result, especially considering that he only finished the MightyBoy in December.

So what is so special about Mark's ute? Well you might have guessed by the image accompanying this news article that it looks fairly tall. If you also guessed that this creation is a MightyBoy shell riding on a Suzuki Sierra chassis then you get full marks and a gold star.

I asked Mark about the process of building his extreme mighty machine. He explained that it started with a Mighty Boy and a Sierra, and he combined the two with a pinch of Torana A9X flares and some hand made metalwork to end up with not only one of the best 4x4 conversions I have seen, but one of the neatest and cleanest MightyBoys you will ever see. Every detail of this ute has been tended to by Mark, and his Top 60 result at Summernats is a great reward for all his hard work.

I'll let the pictures tell the rest of the story, and they are available by clicking here.

Congrats Mark, and to everyone else, all the best for 2008!
